Kat’s Literary Services offers a wide range of support for authors at different stages of publishing. Let’s review the differences between our two most popular packages: The Essentials and The Fundamentals.
The Essentials
This package includes both copy editing and line editing by a single editor. The editor performs two read-throughs of the manuscript in one session.
This includes:
· Checking for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
· Checking for missing, wrong, and duplicated words
· Checking for basic inconsistencies
· Reworking of sentence structure for clarity and consistency, including rewriting suggestions if needed.
The Essentials will tidy up your manuscript and have it in great shape.
The Fundamentals
This package takes The Essentials a step further. It includes both copy and line editing by a single editor, followed by an additional proofreading by a separate proofreader. Both the editor and proofreader complete two read-throughs of the manuscript, totaling two rounds.
This includes everything included in The Essentials (listed above) in the first round and the following for proofreading in the second round:
· Checking for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
· Checking for missing, wrong, and duplicated words
The Fundamentals offers two sets of eyes to catch as many errors as possible and ensure your manuscript is at its best.
So, which package should you choose? The Essentials is a budget-friendly way to edit your manuscript, but if your budget permits, we strongly recommend The Fundamentals for the additional polish.
