At KLS, we recognize the importance of your time in the world of writing and publishing. Our team of seasoned professionals is dedicated to delivering high-quality, timely literary services, backed by their extensive expertise in the field.
Our editing timelines are designed to be flexible, taking into account various factors such as project word count and the number of services booked. This adaptability ensures that we can cater to your specific needs and deliver the best results.
Most editing projects booked for one service take two weeks on average. However, if the manuscript is over 100k, we may need up to three weeks.
The Fundamentals is one of our most popular services. With this package, you get not one but two literary professionals working on your project. The average time for this service, from start to finish, is approximately five weeks. Your manuscript would come to us for The Essentials, a combined copy & line edit. This takes two weeks. After this, we will return your edited manuscript, and you will have one week to review the edits and make any necessary changes. We can schedule the proofreading for later if you need more time at this stage. Then the new version is returned to us for Proofreading, which takes another two weeks.
Turnaround times for our other packages depend on the number of services being taken and how spread out they are. Time frames are confirmed and outlined in your Literary Services Agreement at the time of booking.
For most services, we usually book 1-2 months in advance. If you have a work in progress that will soon require editing services and would like to request a sample edit and discuss it further, it’s best to reach out sooner rather than later so we can let you know our availability.
